I'm not a philatelist, yet I own a substantial number of first day covers and stamps, dating back to the late 1960s. The first day covers are all Indian, the stamps are assorted Indian and foreign. I got them all as gifts from two of my very generous uncles. For the 10 years or so that I have had this collection, it's been stacked and packed neatly in boxes and plastic. Now, inspired by dad to realise their value (and he says they're worth over $1000 now), I'm out to make a catalog, mostly to see if I can get some moolah from them. There are hundreds and hundreds of them, and it's going to be one tedious task. And if you know me enough, you would have guessed that the catalog will be online. Yippy! I started with 2 stamps, and it's taken me all day, mostly because I had to setup the software first. And the website is appropriately http://stamps.poddu.com. It's a very plain and drab looking website, but the contents are more important, or should I say, more valuable!
